How do I adjust the pitch on an Open-Roll awning?
A manual crank sets the fabric angle — how pitch works, and when to change it through the seasons.
How do I adjust the pitch on an Open-Roll awning?
With a removable manual crank: the Open-Roll's pitch — the downward angle of the extended fabric — adjusts by cranking the arm mounts, steepening or flattening the slope. A steeper pitch blocks low-angle afternoon sun and sheds light rain better; a flatter pitch maximizes headroom underneath. We set a sensible starting angle at installation for your exposure.
In practice most owners set pitch twice a year — steeper for the low summer-evening sun, flatter otherwise — rather than fiddling weekly. If you would rather adjust pitch without a crank, the Semi-Cassette's EZ-Pitch system is the step-up path. And regardless of pitch: the awning retracts in wind, ideally automatically via the wireless wind sensor.
