What areas do you serve?
We serve Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC — roughly a 90-mile radius around our Marshall, VA headquarters, including Fairfax, Ashburn, Leesburg, McLean, Alexandria, and the surrounding Northern Virginia, suburban Maryland, and DC communities. We install for both residential and commercial properties inside this service area.
Do you sell screens online?
No — every job is custom-measured and professionally installed. We provide free quotes: start online with our quote form and we'll follow up to schedule an in-home consultation.
What is the difference between MagnaTrack and V-Track screens?
Both are premium motorized retractable screens we install. MagnaTrack uses patented self-correcting magnets that reset the screen automatically and offers a Category 5-rated hurricane option (Defender). V-Track uses a welded keder bead in a V-channel for continuous edge retention and can span up to ~99 feet as a single screen. We'll recommend the right system for your opening, exposure, and budget.
How much wind can the screens handle?
Standard MagnaTrack screens are rated to 75 mph. For exposed properties that see severe storms, MagnaTrack Defender storm screens use DuPont Kevlar fabric engineered and certified to hurricane-grade standards (157+ mph, ±200 PSF, Florida Product Approval FL30798) — far beyond anything a Virginia storm delivers. V-Track screens are wind-capable but should be retracted in severe weather. Awnings should always retract in high wind; we install wireless wind sensors that do it automatically.
What warranty do you offer?
MagnaTrack screens: limited lifetime on aluminum, 15 years on screens, 5 years on motors, 2 years on remotes. American Light Design awnings: 10 years on everything — hardware, fabric, and motors — non-prorated and transferable (5 years on the Open-Roll style). V-Track component warranties are confirmed per project.
Can motorized screens and awnings connect to my smart home?
Yes. Screens integrate with Control4, ELAN, RTI, URC, Savant, Crestron, Lutron, Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, SmartThings, and Josh.ai. Awnings pair with Somfy and Dooya smart controls, voice assistants, and wireless wind sensors.
Do you offer financing?
Yes — financing is available on all projects. Ask during your consultation and we will walk you through the options.
How much does a motorized screen or awning cost?
Every project is custom — size, fabric, motor, and installation details all matter. Quotes are free and include materials plus professional installation. Request one online and we'll give you a firm number after measuring.
