How is the Cross-Arm different from the Semi-Cassette?
Same build, different arm geometry — when crossing the arms is the only way to get the shade.
How is the Cross-Arm different from the Semi-Cassette?
They are siblings: same full semi-cassette housing protecting the rolled fabric from above, same Sunbrella fabric program, same motors, same integrated LED arm lighting, same 10-year non-prorated, transferable warranty. The difference is arm geometry. The Semi-Cassette's arms fold conventionally, which limits projection to less than the awning's width; the Cross-Arm's arms cross over each other, allowing projection up to 12 feet from a mount as narrow as 8 feet.
The decision is purely dimensional: if your space is wider than it is deep, the Semi-Cassette — with custom widths to 40 feet — is the natural choice. If the space is deeper than the available mounting width, the Cross-Arm is the only style that covers it. Measure the wall and the depth you want shaded, or let us do it at the free consultation.
