My deck is narrow but deep — can an awning still cover it?
The Cross-Arm projects up to 12 feet from a mount as narrow as 8 — the style built for townhouse decks.
My deck is narrow but deep — can an awning still cover it?
Yes — this is exactly the problem the Cross-Arm exists to solve. A standard folding-arm awning cannot project farther than its own width because the arms would collide, which strands narrow-but-deep spaces. The Cross-Arm crosses its arms over each other, so an awning from 8 feet to 13 feet 5 inches wide can project up to 12 feet — shading the full depth of a townhouse deck or a skinny patio that no conventional style can reach.
It is built on the semi-cassette architecture, so you get the protective housing, integrated LED arm lighting, Sunbrella fabric, and the 10-year non-prorated, transferable warranty. Townhouse communities across Northern Virginia — Alexandria, Arlington, Ashburn — are where we install these most.
