Giveaway Terms & Conditions

Governing your use of the ALD Outdoor Living Giveaway pages and nomination form.
Last updated October 23, 2026. These Terms sit alongside the Official Rules, which govern the giveaway itself.

1. Scope

These Terms & Conditions apply when you visit the giveaway pages at /giveaway/, submit a nomination, or otherwise interact with the ALD Outdoor Living Giveaway operated by American Light Design, LLC (“we,” “us,” “ALD”). If you do not agree with them, do not enter.

2. The Official Rules control

The Official Rules govern the giveaway — entry, judging, eligibility, the awards, and recipients’ obligations. If anything in these Terms conflicts with the Official Rules, the Official Rules control. Ads, social posts and summaries are for convenience only and never modify the Official Rules.

3. Accurate information and permission

You agree that the information you submit is true and current. If you nominate someone else, you confirm you are entitled to share their name and contact details with us so we can ask whether they agree to be nominated. Nominations containing false information may be disqualified without notice.

4. Your story and video

Every nomination is subject to the publication agreement in Rule 9 of the Official Rules: ALD may use, edit, excerpt and publish your video or written story in its advertising, social media, website and other marketing, whether or not it receives an award. You confirm the submission is your own work, that everyone who appears in or is described in it has given permission (including a parent or guardian for anyone under 18), and that it contains no copyrighted music or material you do not have rights to. We may decline to publish any submission, and may remove content that is unlawful, offensive or infringing.

5. Communications and consent

Entering means we may contact you, and the nominee, about the giveaway itself — to confirm the nomination, to arrange a site check, and to administer an award. That is the operational contact you agree to by entering.

Marketing communications are separate and entirely optional. On the nomination form you may independently choose to receive:

• Calls and text messages, which may be placed using an automatic telephone dialing system or a prerecorded or artificial voice, at the number you provide. This consent is not a condition of entry, of receiving an award, or of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply; message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out, or HELP for help.
• Marketing email, which you can stop at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message.

You may withdraw any consent at any time, including by calling us at (571) 366-7862. Withdrawing consent does not affect your nomination.

6. No guarantee of an award or of service

Submitting a nomination does not guarantee an award. ALD may award fewer than the maximum, or none if no entry qualifies, as the Official Rules describe. Nothing on these pages obliges us to quote or perform any project, and we may decline a project for any lawful reason, including that it falls outside our service area or technical scope.

7. Values and product claims

Award values are ALD’s standard retail price for the installed project and are used for tax reporting. Any price, timeline or specification shown on these pages is informational and is not an offer, quotation or warranty. Product performance ratings are those published by the manufacturer for specific configurations and test conditions.

8. Intellectual property

The content of these pages — text, photography, video, graphics, logos and layout — is owned by ALD or its licensors. You may view and share links to these pages, but may not republish the content commercially without our written permission. Third-party names and marks, including MagnaTrack and Progressive Screens, belong to their respective owners.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to submit nominations by automated means; buy, automate or otherwise manipulate likes or shares; interfere with or probe the site or its forms; attempt unauthorized access to any system or data; or submit unlawful, infringing or malicious content.

10. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of these pages at any time, and may update these Terms; the version in force is the one published here, with the “last updated” date above.

11. Third-party platforms

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram. Where you reach these pages from a post or ad on another platform, that platform’s own terms apply to your activity there, not to your nomination, which is submitted to and held by ALD.

12. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

These pages are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ALD is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of these pages or your participation in the giveaway. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
