What is the MagnaTrack Defender fabric made of?
Defender screens use OmegaTex Defender fabric, woven with DuPont Kevlar — the same aramid fiber family used in body armor and aerospace applications. The material resists tearing and impact from wind-blown debris and is heat-resistant to 800 degrees Fahrenheit, and the assembled system is engineered to stop debris at certified hurricane-grade wind speeds.
It is also a livable everyday fabric: available in seven colorways — White, White and Tan, Black and Tan, Bronze, Granite, Grey, and Black — it serves as shade and security screening year-round rather than storm equipment that only exists during warnings.
