Can Defender screens be used as everyday screens, or only during storms?
They run on the same MagnaTrack system as our everyday screens — daily shade and security duty, storm posture on demand.
Can Defender screens be used as everyday screens, or only during storms?
Everyday use is half the point. Defender fabric runs on the same self-correcting MagnaTrack motorized system as our standard screens, so it deploys and retracts daily like any other screen — providing shade and a serious physical security barrier across porch openings, garage bays, and lanais the other 360 days a year. Unlike storm panels that live in a shed, protection that is already installed is protection that actually gets used when the severe thunderstorm watch goes up.
Operation is identical to the rest of the MagnaTrack line: remotes, wall controls, app, and smart-home integration, with the whole property's screens deployable in under a minute.
