Does the Full-Cassette awning have a valance?
No — the clean square profile is the point. What that means for looks, and for blocking low sun.
Does the Full-Cassette awning have a valance?
No — the Full-Cassette's front bar closes flush into the square housing, and the style deliberately omits the hanging fabric valance. That is part of its appeal: the enclosed profile reads clean and contemporary, matching modern architecture where a scalloped valance would look out of place. It comes in white or black frames with set sizes from 12 by 10 up to 20 by 12 feet.
One functional note: a valance blocks a slice of low-angle sun at the awning's front edge, so without one, very low evening sun can slip under the fabric line. Pitch adjustment covers most of that, and if you want both the drop-down coverage and a front edge, ask about front-bar drop screens as an accessory. If you love the valance look, the Semi-Cassette offers straight or sea-wave valances, removable at that.
